2022 Kia EV6 vs. Its Competition

The EV6 spearheads not only Kia’s electric vehicle program, it also takes over the performance halo from the Kia Stinger mid-size fastback and its internal combustion engine.

Built on the same platform as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and a planned Genesis electric crossover, the EV6 is longer than the Ioniq but the wheelbase is shorter.

The Mustang Mach-E claims similar performance specs in its forthcoming GT model, but the Tesla Model Y currently matches the range and performance of the EV6 and may surpass it before roll out.

More utilitarian and affordable but less exciting, the Volkswagen ID.4 is the people’s EV.
