2018 Jaguar XJ vs. Its Competition

The Jaguar XJ’s styling is its main advantage, though its lightweight design also makes it sporty for the class.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the leader of the group, with unparalleled luxury and a wider ranging model line that stretches up to $200,000 in Maybach trim.

The BMW 7-Series is more tech-centric, though just as sporty as the XJ or even moreso; it also offers a V-12.

The redesigned Audi A8 is also tech-heavy, and will soon be the first car on the road to offer Level 3 autonomy.

Also new is the Lexus LS.

It is bolder and more commanding than in the past, though it is still softly damped in Lexus tradition.

The Cadillac CT6 is a relative bargain in the group and the only model to offer 4-cylinder power.

It lacks the cachet of its rivals, but is a strong effort from America.
