2019 Jaguar E-Pace vs. Its Competition

The 2019 Jaguar E-Pace aims at the heart of the subcompact luxury crossover SUV class, but with slightly more space.

The BMW X1 is a few years into its run, but its front-wheel-drive architecture, turbo-4 powertrain, and surprisingly useful interior space are the benchmark that Jaguar is trying to match or beat.

The Cadillac XT4 is a brand-new entrant but packs a strong engine and plenty of comfort.

Lexus also has a new competitor in the form of the UX, but despite its tech-centered name, issues with the infotainment persist and the powertrain leaves something to be desired.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class is in its twilight years, and is much more cramped than its contemporaries, but does offer a hilariously fun AMG version.

Volvo’s XC40 is top-of-the-class in terms of style, technology, and luxury features, not to mention a novel subscription leasing plan.
