2017 INFINITI QX80 vs. Its Competition

2017 Infiniti QX80 5.6 Signature Edition
Kirk Bell Kirk Bell Senior Editor

The chief competition for the QX80 lies in the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class and Lincoln Navigator, while the Land Rover Range Rover and Cadillac Escalade are thousands more—and they don't include the sublime Infiniti ownership experience. The Navigator and the and the Ford Expedition both offer a strong turbocharged V-6, but the Lincoln comes with luxury more in line with the Infiniti.

The Benz GLS is one of favorite among the full-size luxo-utes thanks to its available diesel engine.

It also has an impressive badge.

Same goes for the Range Rover, which is a worthy rival, offering responsive road manners and real off-road prowess without sacrificing a bit of luxury and comfort.

Meanwhile, the Cadillac Escalade offers burly V-8 engines and a refined look and feel.

Another rival is the Lexus LX 570.

It's a near-clone of the very large Toyota Land Cruiser, but it brings with it luxury and rugged capabilities akin to the QX80.
