2015 INFINITI QX80 vs. Its Competition

2015 Infiniti QX80
Marty Padgett Marty Padgett Editorial Director

The chief competition for the QX80 lies in the GL-Class and Navigator, while the much more pricey Range Rover and Escalade are thousands more -- and they don't include the sublime Infiniti ownership experience.

For traction.

The Lexus LX 570 is a near-clone of the very large Toyota Land Cruiser, but it brings with it luxury and rugged capabilities that match the QX.

The Benz GL is brand-new this year, improved in almost every way, from infotainment features to its new power-folding second-row seat; its diesel edition is our favorite among the full-size luxo-utes.

The Range Rover has been completely redesigned this past year, and it's a worthy rival; weighing hundreds of pounds less than its predecessor, it drives more responsively and efficiently without sacrificing a bit of luxury and comfort.

Meanwhile, the Cadillac Escalade has been given a complete redesign for 2015 with stronger engines and a more refined look and feel inside, and the Ford Expedition gets a refresh, with a new turbocharged V-6.
