2014 INFINITI QX60 vs. Its Competition

2014 Infiniti QX60

The 2014 Infiniti QX60 most directly takes on the Acura MDX, a model that's far less stylish, and has worse fuel economy and tighter third-row access.

Other than that, the Audi Q7 is larger, heavier, and can be considerably more expensive; though it does offer an optional TDI diesel engine that delivers remarkable fuel efficiency--perhaps better than the QX60 on the highway.

The Buick Enclave, lightly restyled and refreshed for 2013, has continued to gain customers of its own in the large crossover segment, though it's possible Infiniti buyers might not even consider a Buick.

That same issue may apply to the Lincoln MKT, the largest Lincoln crossover, and one that's particularly roomy and comfortable, but one which hasn't gotten much traction in the market.

Finally, the top end of the Toyota Highlander range--the seven-passenger, all-wheel-drive Highlander Hybrid--delivers much better fuel economy, but it's still a Toyota.

Quick Specs
The 2014 Infiniti QX60 is luxurious and full featured, while offering families a roomy, reconfigurable layout that makes good sense.
The 2014 Acura MDX is more focused than ever on its mission of keeping the entire family comfortable, content, and entertained—and yes, that still includes the driver.
There's much to love about the 2014 Audi Q7 and few if any failings; it does everything a three-row crossover vehicle should do, with great elegance and sophistication—and skips the faux-rugged nonsense.
The 2014 Buick Enclave impresses with plus-sized chic--and it's one of the safest family crossovers you can buy.
The provocative Lincoln MKT has undeniable charm--a fantastic cabin, great infotainment features, and paddle-shifted EcoBoost power--but you have to buy into the look.
The 2014 Toyota Highlander covers familiar territory, without straying too far into Adventure Land.
