
The Ford Expedition has excellent towing capacity, at 9,200 pounds, but also has a very comfortable cabin for up to eight or nine passengers.
That puts it in a class alongside the Toyota Sequoia, which has a strong and charismatic V-8 engine, as well as impressive towing numbers, but its interior layout doesn't make quite as good use of the space.
Likewise, the Nissan Armada feels smaller inside, even though it isn't all that much smaller from the outside, and its NASCAR-ish engine note won't be to everyone's liking.
Its toughest competitors come from GM: the Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevy Suburban, and GMC Yukon all have a slight edge over the Expedition in terms of interior trim quality and powertrain choices (including an available Hybrid), but the Expedition has a superior third-row layout.
