2021 Ford Bronco vs. Its Competition

Launched in advance of the big Bronco, the Bronco Sport won the hearts of the road-going public with its Bronco design elements, even though it’s based on the Ford Escape; Bronco shoppers won’t mistake the two, but Bronco Sport admirers don’t care.

The Bronco two-door and four-door take aim at the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep earns the respect of loyalists with its boxier, blunter ends, and more rugged interior switches; the Bronco bucks off-road as well as the Wrangler, and it acts more domesticated on road.

With its roof off, the four-door could compete with the Gladiator and its open bed, or with the doors and on, it vies with the timeless Grand Cherokee.

The Tacoma pickup and 4Runner SUV appeal to off-roaders as well for similar reasons, but Toyota struggles to keep up with Ford in interior amenities and advanced off-road technology.
