2017 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta vs. Its Competition

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta offers nearly unmatched power, and is backed by the brand’s legendary racing and street car history.

As a result, few cars truly equal the F12, but there are several cars that might attract buyers interested in a super-performance coupe.

Among those is the Audi R8, with its advantage of all-wheel drive and a much smaller price tag; at the same time, the R8 lacks the F12’s curb appeal, exotic feel, and cachet.

The Dodge Viper SRT also packs nearly as much power, more torque, and a decidedly unique style, but it lacks much of the refinement and luxury of the Ferrari.

The Bentley Continental GT Speed might make a similar argument for luxury, performance, and cachet, but it can’t match the raw passion of the F12.

Ferrari’s own GTC4 Lusso is a real alternative, capturing all of the Ferrari-ness of the F12, but adding the utility of greater cargo space and all-wheel drive, if at slightly lower power and performance levels.

Finally, the new Acura NSX is as close to a LaFerrari or McLaren P1 as you can get, without spending more than $200,000.
