2018 Dodge Challenger vs. Its Competition

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon
Andrew Ganz Andrew Ganz Senior Editor

The 2018 Dodge Challenger’s chameleon personality means it’s hard to compare directly to any one rival.

The Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang approach its level of breadth, but they’re both lighter and more like traditional sports cars than the Challenger.

The Nissan 370Z is still something of a performance deal, even if its interior and technology are behind the times.

Although they may not seem like direct rivals, the BMW M4 and Audi S5 are worth a look.

They’re more poised than the Challenger, but they’re lacking in bravado.

Quick Specs
The 2018 Dodge Challenger can be anything you want: a docile all-season touring car, just the thing for Friday night car shows, a track-tamer, or a drag strip champion.
A true sports car in muscle car guise, the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro will go toe-to-toe with any performance rival and usually come out on top.
Athletic performance, decent fuel economy, and surprising technology make the 2018 Ford Mustang even better.
