2015 Chevrolet Traverse vs. Its Competition

For families looking for big family crossovers, space and safety are likely your greatest concerns.

With that in mind, the Ford Explore and Ford Flex should be considered here, too.

Both offer seven seats, and the Flex uses the Explorer's chassis to offer a lower, urban-focused twist on the family crossover.

The Toyota Highlander also offers seating for seven in a nice, well-built cabin, but it lacks personality.

It rides well, though, and you can have it as a hybrid.

The Honda Pilot hasn't changed much since we drove it last in 2010, and drives well and offers lots of utility, despite its cheapish interior.

There's also the Dodge Durango that drives and handles exceptionally well–with plenty of comfort–though it isn't quite as spacious as many of its competitors.
