2018 Chevrolet Tahoe vs. Its Competition

The 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe faces stiffer competition this year.

For the first time in what seems like forever, Ford has performed a clean-slate redesign on its Expedition.

The Blue Oval’s big ‘ute is impressive and should provide better on-paper fuel economy than the Tahoe.

But if you’re set on GM’s trucks (and that’s no bad thing), the GMC Yukon is worth a look for more than just its unique styling.

Its option package structure is different than the Tahoe’s and may be more appealing for your needs.

Don’t discount the thirsty but smooth Nissan Armada, which feels like a proper luxury truck (in part because it is an Infiniti QX80 with slightly less fancy leather).

The Toyota Sequoia has a deservedly good reputation for its quality, but it feels way behind the times in most other ways.

And you might as well throw the Volvo XC90 into your comparison list; it’s a bit smaller outside than the Tahoe, but not much tighter inside, and its combination of value, style, and impressive dynamics make it one of our favorite three-row vehicles.
