2015 Chevrolet Malibu vs. Its Competition

2015 Chevrolet Malibu
Martin Padgett Martin Padgett Editorial Director

The Chevrolet Malibu was redesigned in 2013 and upgraded again in 2014, though both updates haven't found the cure for its mediocre back-seat accommodations.

It's not truly bad--but suffers that so many of its competitors are so much better.

Nissan's Altima boasts 38 mpg on the highway, incredibly comfortable seats, and an available V-6 engine.

The Kia Optima and Hyundai Sonata are mechanical twins that offer hybrid variants, as well as value-oriented base models.

The Ford Fusion is one of our favorites in the mid-size segment and won TheCarConnection.com's Best Car to Buy award for 2013.

There's also the Toyota Camry, which has been redesigned to look sportier than ever for 2015, but we haven't had the chance to drive it yet.

Still, reliability is ever in the Camry's corner.
