2020 Chevrolet Colorado vs. Its Competition

2020 Chevrolet Colorado
Martin Padgett Martin Padgett Editorial Director

The Colorado’s twin, the GMC Canyon, might appeal to some for its slightly more square-jawed look, but the two are very similar in trim and options.

The Honda Ridgeline wins us over with its composed ride and handling, even if the bed’s smaller and it’s less rugged than some of the mid-sizers.

The Toyota Tacoma is an aged entry in this niche, but off-roaders worship its Baja roots and its rough-and-tumble ride.

We’re happy there’s a Ford Ranger in the world again, and a little surprised at how refined its cabin can be—and how expensive it can be, too.

Any are a decent choice, but only if you are not amused by the Jeep Gladiator, with its undersized bed and its oversized Jeep appeal.

Especially in top-off editions, it’s a standout for off-roading and for summer driving.

The 2020 GMC Canyon has its virtues, but its design is beginning to feel old and it hasn’t done well in crash tests.

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline pick-ups differently; it’s a truck that’s more comfortable and practical than tougher-duty rivals.

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator pairs everything we love and hate about the Wrangler with a useful pickup bed.
5.3
