2017 Chevrolet Colorado vs. Its Competition

If you've made up your mind on the Chevrolet Colorado, you may want to make a last minute trip to check out the functionally identical (but prettier in our eyes) GMC Canyon.

The GMC may be a little pricier, but the difference is minimal and may be worth it for its slightly different standard and optional equipment packaging.

The Toyota Tacoma has long been this segment's sales leader, and for good reason, but it feels dated up against the GM twins with its legs-out driving position and lack of a turbodiesel.

The Nissan Frontier is certainly the segment's elder citizen, but big discounts may be available.

And then there's the Honda Ridgeline.

If you don't need to tow big trailers, its car-like ride and handling make it the most livable mid-size truck on a day-to-day basis.
