2018 Chevrolet Camaro vs. Its Competition

The Chevy Camaro offers a broader lineup than ever.

Not only does it have coupes and convertibles, but also it is available with turbo-4, V-6, and V-8 power, plus as 1LE and ZL1 track beasts.

It handles better than ever, too.

The Ford Mustang is a similar story, with 4-, 6-, and 8-cylinder engines, coupes and convertibles, and track models of its own.

The Camaro handles better, but the Mustang offers better outward vision and it will draw its Ford loyalists.

The Nissan 370Z may be getting old, but it’s still a fun V-6-powered sports car that delivers Japanese flair versus the Camaro's American theme.

There is another American on the block, though.

The Dodge Challenger has V-6 and four flavors of V-8 power, including the 707-horsepower Hellcat edition and the drag special 840-hp Demon.

The Challenger is bigger and more of a muscle car, though, while the Camaro has crossed over to become a sports car.
