2016 Cadillac XTS vs. Its Competition

2016 Cadillac XTS
Martin Padgett Martin Padgett Editorial Director

The Cadillac XTS is about as long as short-wheelbase BMW 7-Series or Audi A8–or about the length of a Mercedes-Benz E-Class–and measures up in almost every conceivable way in the segment, if you're not looking for performance and perhaps prestige.

For rear-seat passengers, we'd rather find a seat in the back of the XTS than a comparably price E-Class or Audi A6.

Lincoln's MKS is both smaller and lacks CUE's intuitive controls to operate the infotainment system.

The Lexus ES 350 offers better road feel, but is slightly smaller inside.

The Hyundai Genesis is now comparable in size and priced more aggressively than the XTS, making it an interesting alternative for those unconcerned with brand prestige.
