2017 Cadillac Escalade vs. Its Competition

2017 Cadillac Escalade

Big SUVs have become more than just trucks swathed in leather.

Today, they're flagships on their own, with Mercedes-Benz's GLS-Class and the Land Rover Range Rover offering tremendous refinement and comfort.

The Escalade stacks up better than ever, and it offers more space than those European competitors even though it still comes up a little short in terms of features and luxury.

Other rivals like the Infiniti QX80 and Lincoln Navigator are dated but still offer compelling reasons to cross shop on their own; the QX80 is a remarkably good value, while the Navigator's twin-turbo V-6 engine is a stellar powerplant.

We also encourage you to check out the GMC Yukon—especially in Denali guise—as it offers much of the Escalade's performance and panache at a more palatable price point.
