The Audi A4 is beginning to gray around its temples, but it still tells a great tech story and boasts a terrific ride.
The Mercedes C-Class matches the 3-Series at every level, though it’s generally more expensive and there’s no manual transmission for the sporty C63; it’s being updated for 2022, but we haven’t driven one yet.
The Genesis G70 is a credible sports sedan with a classy interior and a competitive price, though finding a dealer may still be a challenge.
Volvo’s S60 never tries to be as sporty as the 3-Series, and that’s just fine with us, as we like its sublime style.
The Tesla Model 3, the definitive electric sedan, has proven itself to be a usable daily driver.
