I can't believe I'm actually defending San Franciscans, but has the guy who wrote this ever actually driven in that city?

It's absolutely rife with narrow roads, steep hills, one-way streets, sharp turns, and a myriad of other hazards. It's dangerous and hard to navigate. It's no wonder it made the list, I'm sure even the locals have trouble with it from time to time.

The absolute worst drivers are always in the system32 folder.

I'm assuming this is "reported" incidents. The NHTSA estimates there are at least 2 to 3 times this many that go unreported.

Might as well lump Washington DC, Baltimore and Alexandria all together as DC drivers, hence the absolute worst. The scariest ride/drive events I've ever been part of are there, with policymakers and government employees. No wonder the safetycrats in DC keep trying to legislate safer driving.. they need only look in the mirror to see the real problem!

Live in DC now and moved from Alexandria and I agree that driving here can be difficult. But if the ratings were based on solely on number of years between accidents I think the DC area has a handicap in that area because so many people have moved here since the recession began and many are young drivers. I wonder what Geico or State Farm's results would look like.

YEP, I have an opinion based on over 20 years of commuting in NJ....I have never...I mean never seen and experienced worse drivers than the one's from PA. It's like bumper cars on Rt. 80 and also on Rt. 78. flying like bats out ov h*ll because they live in PA and work in NJ and the rest of us can just get out of their way...I've had people who didn't believe me..thought I was well, prejudice. So, once they road with me on these highways and actually saw for themselves the horrific driving from these clowns they changed their tunes quickly. I cannot for the life of me understand why NJ State Police don't crack down on these clowns. They drive like jerks with impunity. Tail gaiting, swerving in and out of traffic is the norm.
