    How about we start with the basics. Like teach teaching teenagers how to really drive a car instead of just steering a car. There is a difference!
    If one becomes a better driver then it's only makes sense that they will have less accidents.

    Matt- You raise a good point, and that's really how graduated driver licensing is supposed to help. Teens need more supervised time behind the wheel learning the right way to drive a car. It's not just point and the car will go. Thanks for the astute comment.

    not true for new york, you have to be 16 for a permit & 18 (17 with drivers ed) for a full non restricted license.
