    Interesting concept. Unless these stamps are easy (inexpensive) to remove, I think custom/individual personalization would ultimately lower the resale value of the vehicle. Imagine that the only way you could remove a tattoo would be to transfer it to someone else. However, I do think there is a market for this in, say, designer editions of cars. I could easily see a fashion or home designer's signature tastefully stamped on a body panel. And with celebrities coming out with their own lines of just about everything, it seems like a good fit there.

    Unless it's tastefully done and/or exactly what the used-car buyer wants, I agree a one-off custom order could ding resale value. And if it's wrecked, it could be an expensive proposition to replace that panel. I do like how Toyota plans to use the process for sharper designs, though.
