    A couple of bucks more and you'd be sitting in a low cost Jetta, a real car, not a cute toy.

    Cute? Yeah. There are a ton of nice cars for $16K - or less. I just counted at least ten. I respect Toyota a lot but I doubt if the micro car is going to save the world, or even the city. With my 1965 Corvair Monza background I say any car (1965 Mustang) with a trunk in the back is a winner. Being cute and different isn't that good.

    I dont understand we purchased our 1.5 litre yaris for $12,500. If its a economic car...(ie makes sense combined purchase price, and fuel economy = lifespan) but once again just like the prius the math doesnt add up..Maybe somebody will come out with a 11k copy..But 16k only makes sense at $8 a gallon.
