GOP's Barbour knows he's telling a "tall tale"
Think Progress shocking Report published today exposes "How Koch Became An Oil Speculation Powerhouse - From Inventing Oil Derivatives To Deregulating The Market" and how Republicans in Congress enabled Koch Bros & Wall St oil price gouging by constantly blocking laws to regulate speculation & protect oil prices & GOP knowingly helped them plunder the American people at the pump.
We need a DOJ investigation..and the responsible parties in handcuffs, just like with Enron.
So much for RW "free market" principles. Principles??

We need to rid of ourselves of the greedy bastards on Wall Street. The terrorists hit the wrong buildings on 9/11.

The national average price of gas was $1.84 per gallon when Obama was sworn in. We can have more stable fuel prices if we increase our domestic supply, it would also add many good paying jobs and increase tax revenue. Poor fiscal policy and the Fed printing crazy amounts of money has devalued the dollar and increased the cost.

Rick, maybe because Obama blames everything on Bush?
Like it or not Barbour is 100% right. This is what Obama and the left have always wanted, higher gas prices.
    Facts are facts.

"Why is it that every republican is seeking to blame Obama for everything"..... probably b/c the democrats blamed Bush for everything before......oh wait "you can blame this on your republican friend George Dubya Bush he is in bed with half the oil"....there you go!

Why is it that every republican is seeking to blame Obama for everything including wiping his butt with the wrong hand??! You make NO sense! Number 1 Obama was sworn in Jan. 20th 2009 not 2008 but I know you chose to use 2008 to try to make your argument with the gas price. Number 2 the gas prices was actually higher and more like $1.90-$2.00 in the midwest. California more like $2.00-$2.25. Prices rose because every time someone in Iraq, Iran, Kuwait sneezes the prices go up and down. You want this to change then maybe speak about how it should not be allowed to "bet" on oil futures that is why our oil prices are so inconsistent. Number 3 you can blame this on your republican friend George Dubya Bush he is in bed with half the oil
