    @Dan - Thanks for the comment. This article was about non-hybrid cars that start at less than $25,000, but, yes, you can get a 2011 Toyota Prius for under $25,000. There are four trims or models to choose from, although only two fit the under $25K criteria. There's Prius two (starting MSRP of $23,050) and Prius three ($24,050). Prius four ($26,850), and Prius five ($28,320) exceed the target. Remember, too, that the more options you add the more the price goes up. Thanks, again, for commenting.

    I enjoyed reading this but most of these don't really seem like "family cars." The Jetta wagon and the Cruze, ok... but the others seem more like small urban commuters. I don't think I can fit my family in them! Is there a Prius for under $25,000?
