That "basic" Accord comes with a nice 2K rebate and 0.9 financing making the Huyndai a no go pricewise - one must be a big fan of kitsch and Korean tech to get a Sonata and there sure are a lot of those people out there... At least it's made here, I guess...

I would go for the 2011 Suzuki Kizashi in 6-speed manual form for only $23,495 for the mid-size rig of my liking. Not this one-though I can see why people are getting excited about this car. A great effort from Hyundai, actually.

Typical Hyundai as you said--artificial on-center feel. They definitely need work in their chassis tuning overall. Still, doesn't seem to hurt their sales much so far...

@Embosan, Both work here, but "laden, heavy" describes it as intended. Bottom line: The steering isn't oppressively heavy, just loaded up with too much force retaining it on and around center. As we've seen in a number of Hyundai vehicles, that can lead to some odd power-steering boost patterns if you're negotiating switchbacks, for instance.

The steering has a "laden" (sic), heavy feel"?
    Don't you mean "leaden"?
