Good HD truck

Pros:Nice shape and smooth body lines on this truck! Also, the engine and transmission do a excellent job in a variety of driving/towing conditions. The 6.0l is quiet unless pressed for acceleration and the transmission has a nice paddle feature to set the gears and downshift. Cons:There is a stiff ride penalty for having nearly 2800lbs in cargo capacity for the rear bed. The tires are load ranged for towing and are therefore set to 80lbs in the back set. The Ford vs. Chevy wars continue to rage in the heavy-duty segment of the pickup truck market. An all-new Ford Super Duty was introduced for the 2008 model year, and it is a heck of a truck, complete with a revised Power Stroke diesel. That engine isn't a true "clean" diesel yet, but will be soon. There's no mistaking the Super Duty's style, which is certainly more distinctive than the Silverado HD's. Features like the optional in-tailgate stepladder are also innovative and go unanswered by Chevy.
