"This is my 2nd Jetta TDI. First was a 2001 TDI. I put 285,000 miles on the first and did not want to wait for the re-worked 2008 diesel. The 06 is larger and more comfortable. However, even with the 285k miles on the 01, it still had more power and speed. I love the interior and exterior improvements on the 06'. The 01' got 37 mpg when it was new and 35 mpg when I sold it.
