Where is the starter solenoid located for a 2002 new beetle?
im having car troubles, and someone has suggested i check the starter solenoid to see if it is the cause (my car wont turn on, battery is fully charged) can someone please help me out by telling me where exactly the starter solenoid is located under the hood?! help is very much appreciated.

It is a small cylinder attached to the starter motor. On the lower side of the motor, the starter motor is where the battery cable goes to, and the solenoid if the small cylinder attached to it. Take a rubber mallet (or your shoe) and bang on the side of the starter motor and then try to start it...
