Unopenable rear door 1999 VW Golf! Help!?

the first thing you should have tried was maybe as wierd as this sounds to you, hit the door with your fist( not in the way as if you would punch it) but just give the door a bang by where the lock is and pull the handle at the same time. its either the catch thats got stuck or a lock failure where...

Golf 1400 1999 petrol starts no problem but will cut out if the revs are not kept going?
this only happens in the mornings the car starts no problem but you have to keep your foot on the accelarator to keep the engine reving ,once the engine has run for a few minutes it will idle ok I have cleaned out the throttle housing .Anyone out there had experience with this problem and how to cure it thanks very much merry xmas

If it's fuel injected it could be the MAF (air flow meter) needs cleaning or replacing.
