IF THE ALARM ON YOUR HIGHLANDER KEEPS TURNING ON BY ITSELF,THERE IS A BIG POSSIBILITY THAT THE SHOCK SENSOR IS SET ON HIGH SENSITIVITY.TO ADJUST IT YOU WILL HAVE TO FIND IT FIRST.LOOK UNDER THE DASH ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE NORMALLY BY THE FIREWALL CLOSE TO THE STEERING COLUMN.IT IS A SMALL BLACK...

Ok, its not near the intake manifold!!! Its in the exhaust system. And if your highlander is a V6 you have four of them, one before each of the cat's, one after each or the cat's. Take it to a shop have it scanned and find out which ones need to be replaced!!!
