What's wrong with my temperature needle on 2000 mitsubishi montero sport?
When i start my suv after not driving it for 8 hours straight, my hot cold needle points to cold. Normal right? But when i go about 1000 ft down the road, the needle is already at the middle. any more prolonged driving takes it a cm closer to being hot. i dont want to overheat my engine please help!

did you check to see if you have enough coolant in the engine ? If so (you have enough), then you probably have a defective temperture sending unit on the engine. It's OK to drive the vehicle. Reference:25 years of backyard mechanics

2000 montero sport 4x4 not engage or no indicate light?
truck start to vibrate after release brake pedal from stop sign or traffic light and it feels like right caliber is locking but once pass 2 gear truck runs ok . Othe issue is 4x4 is not engage and after 30 minutes or more driving its smell some thing is burning under the engine. any ideas or suggestion
