Nice car, I'm driving a 1999 Montero Sport XLS right now. There should be a A/T button the dash board under the defrost and the hazard light button. A/T activates for two tires to spin and also to start off in 2nd gear for when driving in the rain or snow. This allows the car not to slip and slide...
