ok....its running because the ac compressor works with defroster operation...designed so system doesnt lock up.... anyway....to answer your questions...no...there is no way to bypass it...you can mess around trying to fit a belt that doesnt loop the clutch but from experience, it wont last...there...

It should be close to the Evos. Around 19/24 mpg city/highway.
