Not on the market for purchase. I think I may have heard about swapping alt from another vehicle to the 3000gt, one that produces more amps but not sure which car alt are capable of doing so. You can check out 3si.org an possibly find out the types of interchangeable alts.

What is my best option for selling my 1997 mitsubishi 3000gt that has a check engine light for major automatic?
transmission problems. It has 160,000 miles and im not expecting to get much out of it. even a couple hundred bucks would be ok with me and just want to get rid of it without having to sell of individual pieces itself. thanks in advance for the answers

If a check engine light is on it's not for the tranny. It's for the emission system or motor. A flashing D or N gear indicator light is to warn about tranny codes. If the D or N is flashing it's usually just an input or output speed sensor or a shift solenoid that is not that...
