I absolutley agree with everything that Austin wrote and would like to add a few pointers... The US production on the G Class has been limited the past 3 years (less than 600 per year) mostly because it isn't such a practical vehicle for most people. Parts have never been and will never be an issue...

A Mercedes G-wagon is a good off-road vehicle, but the Escalade is a city cruiser. Some people I know would call the Escalade a "serious G wagon" (G for ghetto)
