My 2006 Mazda RX8 won't recognize that the key is in it?
I have an 06 Mazda RX-8, I went in it today to start it and I keep getting the "KEY" light on the dash, I have a keyless entry and the sensor is working, I can turn the alarm on, lock/unlock door and trunk put can not to the ingition on. Even with the actual key in the ignition it still will not let me turn it on. What can I do?

I believe there is a procedure listed in the owners manual to re-aquiant the key fob w/ the vehicle. Other than that check to make sure the battery is ok, or call the dealership if you are still under 50K miles. Owners Manual can be found at Mazdausa.com Reference:RX-8 Owner

I lost all my keys to my 2006 mazda rx-8. What should I do ? I can lose my job?
I called the dealer and was told that it would cost me 634.00 dollars as they have to reprogram and all that. Anyone know any cheap alternatives? I can buy the key fob and key from ebay for about 80 bucks. What more can i do ?
