1997 Mazda Protege coolant flush?
1) Where is the plug (petcock) located for this vehicle? Is it above a plastic shield on the bottom of the vehicle? I looked but couldn't spot it. 2) What type of anit-freeze/coolant works best for Mazdas? Thanks, DK

not all cars have petcocks. If i had your VIN i could get an exact answer for you . if you dont find a petcock then draining the radiator would mean unclamping the lower radiator hose and letting it all gush out. many cars are drained that way. and green coolant is the type for you to use.
