Transmission, I had the same problem with a Ford and a tooth had broken off the transmission.

go to KNfilters.com it'll have the EXACT dyno numbers i believe it's like 12HP to the rear wheels it'll also sound AWEEEESOME and save you 2-3MPG . I use K&N intakes or filters on ALL the cars i've ever owned Reference:Mechanic 15 years
