Would a 6-speed manual transmission from a Lotus Elise work in a 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder?
I'm planning on swapping the 1ZZ-FE stock engine in my 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder with the 2ZZ-GE engine that are used in both Celica GTS and Lotus Elise. I also want to swap out the low-geared 5-speed manual that came with my car for a 6-speed. Would the transmission from a Lotus Elise also work in my car? I know the Elise is also a rear-engined car...
