The fuel filter is located inside the fuel tank and is replaced with the fuel pump as an assembly. Reference:GM dealer tech over 30 years.

I have a 2005, Bought it new and overall it has great features, bell and whisles but it seems to wear very fast. I have had no problems with the delearship fixing anything. It just seems not to hold up from the leather to the stiching to the paint. Major things just runs great however.
