What people are asking about this car
Is the engine in a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe (V6, 2.7) an interference engine?
Thank you, Chris

Yes, it will bend valves if the timing belt breaks. Replace the timing belt if you are not sure of the history of the vehicle, they are good for 60K miles, not much more. The timing belt job is around $400 if it hasn't broken and $1500 if it has. Reference:Hyundai Parts/Serv Mgr.

How do I remove the power steering pulley from a 2001 hyundai santa fe?
Bolt and nut in center of pulley turn together, but it doesn't come loose. I expected the nut to come off, but the bolt stays attached to it and they turn together.
