What people are asking about this car
What is best way to drive a 2002 Honda CRV with automatic on mountain freeways? Cruise cntrl? O/D off?
The car's owner is not accustomed to mountain driving and is concerned when the car shifts down when climbing a grade, especially in cruise control. The concern is wear and tear on the transmission.

There is cause for concern. It depends on how hard the engine is working in OD. If the person is CLIMBING a grade and is in OD and when they press the gas there is very little response (the engine seems unable to pull the car), then it's probably straining too hard in OD and it should be shut off...

Obviously your local Honda Dealer will sort you out & give you a guarantee but is the more expensive route. Alternatively you can buy extra keys etc etc on E-Bay & similar sites for a fraction of what a Dealer will charge you. Good luck! Reference:Bought spare keys myself
