How do I change the oil filter on a 2008 Honda Civic Sedan LX?
OK.... I have a bet going with my boyfriend. I told him if he could figure out dinner for one week straight, and prepare, and clean up... I could figure out how to change his oil. I can't ask him this question... I drained the oil, but I can't get the oil filter off! Do I turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise? I'm afraid I'm just tightening it...

righty tighty, lefty loosey. turn counter clockwise to loosen. filter must be cool to remove, not hot. when u remove the filter, be sure to coat the new filter's o-ring seal with some oil - use your finger. hand tighten hard. drop 4 qts of oil in. wait 5 minutes, check oil to see if it needs...

if anyone knows, can i pull of the rear emblem on my 08 civic sedan then paint it black and then replace it without having to buy a new emblem or is that not possible?
