2006 Honda Accord Hybrid....The security system locked up when wheel turned hard. Now can't us the ignition.?
With ignition off, cranked the wheel to check something on the noisy brake....then this triggered security....now can't use the ignition, radio is off, cant use the key....tried the plain key from factory. Nothing seems to work

Your ignition probably just locked up. Just put the key in and as you try to turn the key, forcefully turn the steering wheel to the unlocked side. Reference:Acura Tech

specifically the 2006 Honda Accord Hybrid, I was wondering, when it is Idol, and in park, does the car consume gas? When the car is in park does it consume gas?

Yes, it does consume gas. The Honda has an electric motor that assists the gas engine, hence IMA(integrated motor assist). It does not rely on the electric motor. Reference:It's the way I make a living, to be knowledgeable in the Honda products.
