neither is the alarm

If you have less than 36,000 miles or an extended warranty then return to the dealer. If not, and the alarm is aftermarket - eliminate the alarm and recheck. Check every fuse with a test light ($8.00) or pull each one and look (key off) Reference:20yr Tech>GM

Why should I also consider these? X

The 2010 Chevrolet Equinox is the same basic vehicle, priced about the same and available with all of the same equipment but with a very different look.

If the Terrain sounds like the right vehicle for you, but just doesn't fit your image, try the Equinox.

The Toyota RAV-4 and Honda CR-V beat out the Terrain in cargo room, but the Terrain's long options list and good fuel economy make it a worthy alternative.

The slightly smaller Nissan Rogue and Ford Escape compete well on price, but the Terrain could beat them on features and size.
