on GM trucks the fuel pump will not operate if the ING. module is bad. ck fuel pump relay also.

2001 GMC SIERRA 5.3L the knock sensors (there are 2 sensors) are located under the plastic intake plenum. the plenum has to come off to access the sensors. make sure you replace the plenum gasket with the updated gasket. (teal green intake gasket seal as opposed to the orange that you have) get it...
