I have a 2006 GMC Sierre Denali, I want to trade it in for a 2000 S-10 for $9k. Should I?
The GMC Denali was the Wifes call and is not outside our budget but definitely strains it. I am a HUGE fan of S-10, have owned 3 and loved them all. I still owe $21k on my Denali, should I pay it off in the next 3 years or trade in and get my S-10?

You should never trade backwards. You'd be much better off selling the Denali outright and buying the S-10 straight up.

I own a shop, and "DO NOT" disconnect the battery cable. Leave it alone, or you will loose your presets, and may even have trouble with the anti-theft system. The correct way is to have a scan tool, and hook it to the ADL connector. You can go to Auto Zone, and have them pull any codes you may...
