Diffrence between a 2001 mustang base and a 2001 mustang gt?
i want to know whats the diffrence because i was planning on getting one ..

The base is a 3.8L V6, the GT is a more powerful and faster 4.6L V8. The GT will also have bigger tires, bigger brakes, and better suspension. The rest is all cosmetic differences.

My friend has an extra alternater which I'm in dire need. He said he would put it in for me free but i do not know if a truck of the same maker and same year will work for my 2001 ford mustang... HELP!

Yes. I have a 215 amp alternator on my Grand Marquis that was for a Ford van. Because it was a bit bigger then the stock Merc unit, it can with the correct mounting bracket, because the same engine is in both vehicles.
