Problem with my 2001 ford escape?
My car wont idle at certain times of the day. around one in the afternoon when it has warmed up outside i start it and it dies. It does not do this all the time but mostly in the afternoons. i changed the air and fuel filter and cleaned throttle body. any suggestions before i take to shop?

Sounds like the IAC (Idle Air Control Valve) is bad, this is a common problem with some Fords. Try giving it some fuel when it acts up to see if it keeps running, if so then it is bad Reference:Ford Tech 17 yrs ASE Master Tech
